A physician-led medical group

Baptist Health Medical Group brings together all of Baptist Healths employed providers into one comprehensive, multispecialty network serving residents of Kentucky, Indiana and neighboring states. Backed by the Baptist Health system of hospitals and led by experienced physicians who are distinguished in their fields, the group encompasses over 1,500 providers, including 800 physicians and more than 700 advanced practice clinicians. These professionals include primary care providers, as well as highly trained surgeons and specialists offering advanced treatments, technologies and care.

While many of the Medical Groups administrative functions are centralized, Baptist Health recognizes that healthcare is delivered on a very personal level. Therefore, the governing structure includes local leadership councils and operations staff in each of the systems three regions, Kentuckiana, East and West, to address each communitys unique needs. These councils work together to ensure that patients visiting a Baptist Health Medical Group provider can expect the same quality care at each of our practices and in each of our hospitals care that is appropriate, timely and centered on our valued patients.

About the Community

Baptist Health is the largest, not-for-profit, faith-based health system in Kentucky and southern Indiana. Headquartered in Louisville, the Baptist Health family of hospitals, care centers, physician offices and health facilities has experienced tremendous growth in recent years. On September 1, 2020, Baptist Health Hardin, in Elizabethtown (formerly Hardin Memorial Health), became our newest addition. Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Ind. (formerly known as Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services), joined on Oct. 1, 2016. In 2012, we welcomed Baptist Health Richmond (formerly Pattie A. Clay Regional Medical Center) and Baptist Health Madisonville (formerly Trover Health System) to the fold. Our other hospitals include Baptist Health Paducah, Baptist Health Louisville, Baptist Health La Grange, Baptist Health Lexington and Baptist Health Corbin. Counting all nine hospitals, we have more than 2,700 licensed beds.

In addition to our acute-care hospitals, Baptist Health owns and operates more than 300 outpatient facilities throughout our service areas, including outpatient diagnostic centers, and Urgent Care centers all of which serve 230,000 visitors each year. We also provide Home Care services in nearly 40 counties in Kentucky, six in Illinois, and six in southern Indiana.
