About the Organization
Jefferson Hospital Association, Inc. is a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit organization incorporated in the State of Arkansas. Jefferson Hospital Associations primary purpose is to provide healthcare to the citizens of Southeast Arkansas. Jefferson Hospital Association, Inc., d/b/a Jefferson Regional Medical Center, the only general acute care hospital in Jefferson County, is licensed for 300 beds. Jefferson Regional serves residents of an 11 county area that includes Jefferson, Cleveland and Lincoln counties (primary service area) and Arkansas, Ashley, Bradley, Chicot, Dallas, Desha, Drew and Grant counties (secondary service area). It is estimated that approximately 65 percent of Jefferson Regionals patients originate from its primary service area with 35 percent originating from the secondary service area.
About the Community
With 300 available beds, Jefferson Regional Medical Center serves as the major referral center for an 11-county area of South Arkansas with a patient base of approximately 220,000. Our medical staff represents most major specialties and has active teaching programs for medical students and residents as well as students in allied health fields.
Pine Bluff is conveniently located in the mid-south region of Arkansas and serves as the major trade center for the southeast portion of the state. The county seat and ninth largest city in Arkansas, Pine Bluff boasts outdoor recreation, attractions, a diverse manufacturing base and warm, friendly people.
Our family-oriented county of over 70,000 offers golf, tennis, hunting, fishing, and excellent housing values. Families enjoy educational programs and exhibits at the Arts & Science Center. Pine Bluff also boasts downtown murals depicting the history of Pine Bluff, a historical museum and Arkansas Railroad Museum.
