Lima Memorial Health System serves communities throughout northwest Ohio with high-quality, innovative healthcare in a family-centered environment. We are a not-for-profit healthcare organization with 1,500 employees and 25 facilities in a 10-county service area. Taking exceptional care of patients is our number one priority. By bringing our family-oriented culture to the bedside and spending more time with you, we simply provide a higher level of care. In fact, a recent survey shows that 98% of our patients would recommend Lima Memorial to a loved one. We have developed areas of special expertise that rank among Ohios leading specialized care services, with physicians and board-certified specialists, experienced nurses and caregivers, and some of the most advanced medical technologies in the region. Lima Memorial Health System gives you access to an extended network of primary care doctors and specialists in the Lima Memorial Physician group. We are very focused on supporting the communities we serve through health education efforts including health fairs, clinics and classes, community wellness days, and partnerships with other community-minded organizations. Each year, Lima Memorial devotes approximately $25 million to these services. To provide the highest quality care to our patients, we are constantly adding and advancing our services through new construction, new technologies and continuing education for our medical staff. A $30 million SPIRIT of Caring expansion allows us to offer private, comfortable patient suites. The Timmermeister Family Surgery Center has six new state-of-the-art, fully equipped surgical suites, including two new open-heart surgery suites and the breakthrough technology of the minimally invasive da Vinci Robotic Surgical System.
About the Community
Lima is located in northwest central Ohio, on Interstate 75, 10 miles south of the junction of U.S. Route 30. Lima is the largest inland city in northwest central Ohio, within 250 miles of the 10 largest cities in the central states. Lima sits midway between Detroit, Cincinnati, Toledo, Dayton, Indianapolis, Columbus and Ft. Wayne. Located in the mid-point of the I-75 corridor Lima/Allen County is within 600 miles of: 67% of the US population 72% of the US purchasing power 70% of the US manufacturing firms. Allen County is host to two Art Network programs. ArtSpace/Lima offers enrichment classes, workshops and special events along with ever changing gallery exhibitions featuring local and regional artists working in all media types. The Council for the Arts of Greater Lima offers children''''s theater, dance, artists-in-residence, and an award-winning arts in education program. Lima also supports its own fulltime symphony orchestra. Lima boasts an excellent public school system with an enrollment of 7,000 students. Allen County is served by six school districts with a combined enrollment of more than 11,000 students. Parochial schools include four Roman Catholic elementary schools and two high schools operate in Allen County as well.
