About the Organization
Since 1957, YAI has been a leader in supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We believe everyone has a fundamental right to live, love, work, and learn. YAI is a person-centered organization with an enthusiastic staff thats committed to implementing this philosophy throughout each of our programs and services. YAI's team of 4,000 employees supports more than 20,000 children and adults throughout New York City, Long Island, Northern New Jersey, and Westchester, Rockland and Orange Counties. This includes residential homes, day habilitation services, supported employment, and community habilitation programs, as well as the Manhattan STAR Academy, iHOPE, and Premier HealthCare. We provide a comprehensive scope of services delivered by staff that is specially trained to care for the I/DD community. Services Include Information & referral; school-age programs; family support services; primary and specialty healthcare, mental health and rehabilitation services; day services; employment training and placement; residential services.

About the Community
We have Premier Healthcare Practices around NYC boroughs. Premier HealthCare has practices in Midtown Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bayside, Queen, and Tremont the Bronx.
