General Introduction

Rome Health is a progressive, 224 bed not-for-profit hospital with a patient draw area of over 83,000 that includes Rome and it's surrounding communities. The Hospital was founded in 1883 and employs over 1000 people and is affiliated with St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center in Syracuse, NY. Our hospital has 144 certified acute care beds and an 80-bed skilled nursing facility. We provide general medical/surgical, pediatric, intensive care, obstetric, long-term care, physical rehabilitation, and senior behavioral healthcare, as well as a full array of outpatient services.

Our small city is located at the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains with four seasons recreational activites. We are centrally located in New York State, and therefore are not far from the excitement of the Northeast's major cities. Rome is serviced by Amtrak and is less than 1 hour away from Syracuse International Airport.
