About the Community
Vancouver is located in a highly desirable area of the Pacific Northwest. We sit on the north bank of the Columbia River directly across from Portland, Oregon. The Pacific Coast is less than 90 miles to the west. The Cascade Mountain Range rises on the east. Mt. St. Helens National Volcanic Monument and Mt. Hood are less than two hours away. The spectacular Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area lies 30 minutes to the east. Vancouver offers the best of both worlds with a small-town charm in a thriving urban area. Portland International Airport is located within 30 minutes from Vancouver.
Vancouver enjoys mild weather with less average rainfall than Boston, Washington D.C., or Atlanta. Summer temperatures generally climb into the 80s. Winter nights rarely fall below 30 degrees Fahrenheit. Our moderate climate results in lush forests and abundant foliage. Springtime explodes with blossoming trees and shrubs.
The area offers an abundance of activities from fine dining, a thriving arts community, world-class shopping, and professional sports teams. The mild climate allows you the opportunity to get outside and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Pacific Northwest. The outdoor enthusiast will be in paradise here with hiking, fishing, boating , skiing, camping, and windsurfing all within a few miles of your front door.
