About the Organization
The Gila River Health Care (GRHC) was established in 1995 and employs nearly 1200 team members. We are considered a leader in the Health Care Industry for Native Americans living in and around Indian country in the Southwest today. Our goal is to become the Premier Health Care Facility in the United States, and continue to grow.
The Gila River Indian Community is home to the people of the Pima, Maricopa and Tohono O'odham Indians, descendants of the ancient Hohokams. Hu Hu Kam Memorial Hospital is located 35 miles south of Phoenix, in the community of Sacaton, AZ. The hospital consists of 16 inpatient beds providing primary health care to the communities of Gila River and Ak-Chin. Inpatient medical services include general medical care. Outpatient services consist of full diagnostic medical and treatment services, including clinics in obstetrics, gynecology, pediatrics, diabetes, optometry, dental, podiatry, cardiology, orthopedics, and surgery. Komatke Health Clinic is located in the village Gila Crossing, five miles south of Laveen, AZ. The Komatke Health Clinic is an outpatient clinic that provides acute and preventative health care services to the residents of the west end of the Gila River Community.
We offer one of the best benefit packages in the Valley for our team members and offer a time off accrual program with a quarterly sell back feature. Our health insurance is administered by Health Smart using a Blue Cross Blue Shield of AZ Network with very low premiums, which includes employer paid Life Insurance, Short Term Disability, and Long Term Disability. Employees may elect to participate in a flexible spending account which allows employees to set aside pre-tax dollars from payroll to pay for eligible health care and dependent care expenses that are not paid from other sources. All eligible employees may participate in a tax-deferred investment opportunity which offers a company match. FSA's allow you to set aside pre-tax dollars from your paycheck to pay for eligible health care and dependent care expenses that are not paid from other sources. GRHC has established an Educational Assistance Program that provides reimbursement to eligible employees engaged in certain educational programs.
