Medical Education Responsibilities: Swedish Hospital, founded in 1886, is a community-based teaching hospital. Swedish Hospital has affiliations with various medical schools with both medical students and residents rotating through our campus. Additionally, Swedish Hospital has its own family medicine, internal medicine, emergency medicine, pharmacy and podiatry residency programs.
