Established in 2013, St. Lawrence Health (SLH) is committed to delivering high-quality, convenient care to residents throughout St. Lawrence County. It does so through three acute care community hospitals and 26 primary and specialty care practices.
Joining Rochester Regional Health (RRH) in 2021 one of the largest integrated health systems serving Central and Western New York SLH enjoys a small-practice ambiance with resources inherent to large health systems. Our expanded network provides access and implementation of leading-edge technology, including a system-wide electronic medical record, and state-of-the-art equipment and infrastructure. The clinical resources and expertise of RRH and SLH are seamlessly integrated for best practice sharing among specialists and clinical support staff. Through these relationships, SLH physicians can better coordinate resources and plan jointly to meet the healthcare needs of the populations they serve.

About the Community
Located on the northern border of New York State, St. Lawrence County is nestled between the Adirondack Mountains and the St. Lawrence River Valley.
St. Lawrence Health is comprised of three hospitals:
Canton-Potsdam Hospital a 94-bed community healthcare facility providing services in emergency medicine, acute care, hospitalist and critical care, a Level III Trauma Center, and 25 different specialties including outpatient health service, orthopedics and sports medicine, and a cancer center.
Massena Hospital a 25-bed acute care facility providing medical, surgical, labor & delivery, pediatrics, and emergency services.
Gouverneur Hospital a 25-bed critical access hospital.
Our communities offer many activities to meet a variety of interests. Proximity to both the St. Lawrence River and the Adirondack Mountains offers easy access to many outdoor activities such as hiking, boating, fishing, skiing, and golfing. The two state and two private universities (SUNY Potsdam which includes Crane School of Music, Clarkson University, St. Lawrence University, and SUNY Canton) create a community rich in cultural and educational opportunities. A quick drive brings you to two world-class Canadian cities Ottawa, Ontario, and Montreal, Quebec, as well as Lake Placid, NY which was home to two Winter Olympics.
