About the Organization
Bacon County Health Services, Inc. (BCHSI) is a not-for profit healthcare corporation, which consists of Bacon County Hospital (a 25-bed acute medical/surgical hospital), a 14 bed Observation Unit, Twin Oaks Convalescent Center (an 88-bed long-term care facility), Bacon County Community Care Center, the Bacon County Hospital Sleep Center, and ABC Child Development Center. All facilities are located on 11 acres in Alma and encompass over 134,000 square feet of owned buildings. BCHSI is accredited by the Joint Commission (TJC).
The medical staff of BCHSI includes six active staff physicians and eight mid-level practitioners in the specialties of family practice, internal medicine, OB/GYN, general surgery and orthopedic surgery. Consulting specialists include eighteen physicians in the practice of gastroenterology, oncology/hematology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, pathology and radiology.
