Mat-Su Regional Medical Center is a state-of-the-art 74-bed acute care facility with a 14-bed ICU, a 20-bed Emergency Department, a 10-LDRP birthing center, a cardiac cath lab, diagnostic imaging, a well-equipped and fully digital OR with 5 rooms including daVinci and Hana modalities, an outpatient surgery center and three outpatient clinics. The medical center has about 100 physicians on active medical staff and a total medical staff of almost 200 physicians. We have a robust Hospitalist Program and an Intensivist. Alaska offers some of the best reimbursement rates in the country, low malpractice rates and is very business friendly.
Mat-Su Regional has been a recipient of the Mountain Pacific Quality Award, which recognizes Alaska hospitals for high-quality care in the areas of heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia and surgical infection prevention. For the third consecutive year The Joint Commission recognized Mat-Su Regional as one of the Nations Top Performers on Key Quality Measures, where they were recognized specifically for their quality key measures in the areas of heart attack, pneumonia, and surgical care. In addition to these honors, the hospital has been accreditation from the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care for Chest Pain, the only hospital in the state to have this accreditation.

The Palmer/Wasilla area is a suburban community of approximately 105,000 and is the fastest growing community in the state. The area is commonly called the Mat-Su Valley.
