The Tomah VA Medical Center is located in Tomah, Wisconsin, an attractive, rural community. The Tomah VA Medical Center has 266 beds and a large outpatient practice, focusing on Primary Care, Mental Health, and Long-Term Care (200 nursing home beds).
Physicians are typically scheduled for 40 hour work weeks, with some compressed schedules available.
The medical center utilizes a computerized medical record system, with training provided by the medical center.
Highly qualified non-citizen candidates will be considered if no citizens are available to fill our positions.
Primary Care Physicians, Psychiatrists, and Dermatologists who have qualifying education debt may be eligible to apply for the federal Education Debt Reduction Program upon permanent appointment, based on availability of funds.
Salary will be commensurate with experience, using VA's market-based physician pay system, with primary care starting salaries typically ranging between $160,000 and $195,000. Psychiatrist starting salaries typically range between $218,000 and $224,000.
