Our network was created in October 2011 when Fletcher Allen in Burlington, Vermont, and Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin, Vermont, signed an affiliation agreement. In January 2016, New York partners Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone, Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital in Plattsburgh and Elizabethtown Community Hospital in Elizabethtown joined the affiliation. In May 2017 Porter Medical Center joined the affiliation. The network was originally called Fletcher Allen Partners.

The surrounding Vermont and upstate New York regions offers easy access to a number of outdoor activities such as mountain biking, downhill and cross-country skiing, hunting, fishing, and hiking, We enjoy access to many excellent colleges and universities in our backyard such as The University of Vermont, Middlebury College, Norwich University, SUNY Plattsburgh, St. Lawrence and Clarkson Universities.
