About the Organization
Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital is a non-profit, 50-bed integrated clinic and hospital that employs over 600 people, including over 60 providers whose specialties include Anesthesiology, Cardiology, Chiropractic, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Oncology, Orthopedics, Pathology, Pediatrics, Podiatry, Radiology and Urology.
Grand Itasca Clinic has 10,000 to 12,000 patient visits per month. The primary service area of the clinic includes roughly 50,000 people. In the local and surrounding community, Grand Itasca is the dominant provider of primary care services. A long tradition of providing excellent service in Family Practice and Internal Medicine has positioned the Clinic for its expansion into secondary care specialities.
Grand Itasca Hospital has been in operation since 1917. With the completion of a state-of-the-art facility in 2005, Grand Itasca is positioned to meet the needs of the community going forward. The hospital operates a 10-bed intensive care unit, 13-bed womens health and birth unit, 27-bed medical/surgical/pediatric unit, and a Level III Trauma Center emergency department that averages 16,000 visits on an annual basis.
The facility has five operating rooms; currently averaging 300 surgical cases per month, and has updated digital imaging technology with a state-of-the-art 64 slice CT scanner and MRI machine. Filmless radiology service, including orthopedic diagnostics and templating, are also on-site.

Grand Itasca is located in Grand Rapids, MN, three hours from the Twin Cities and 90 minutes northwest of Duluth.
