About the Organization
Pen Bay Medical Center (PBMC) is a 99-bed, non-profit community hospital located directly on beautiful Penobscot Bay in Rockport, Maine. As a member of the MaineHealth family of healthcare organizations, we offer inpatient and outpatient care, diagnostic, therapeutic and rehabilitative services, patient and community education, and a full-range of specialty services through the Emergency Department, Special Care Unit, Surgical Services Department, full Hospitalist Service, and the Psychiatric Addiction & Recovery Center.
With a Medical Staff of about 100 physicians, PBMC offers a breadth of specialty and sub-specialty services not commonly found in a community hospital. More than 97 percent of our Medical Staff members are board-certified in their practice specialty.
