About the Organization
Founded in 1999, Progressive Community Health Centers is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that operates three primary care clinics and an urgent care location in Milwaukees central city. Our mission is to improve the health and quality of life of the community by providing culturally competent services that address identified needs and aid in eliminating health disparities. Progressive CHC serves patients of all ages and incomes, regardless of their ability to pay. Nearly 90% of our patient population is either uninsured or receives a public health insurance benefit (Medicaid/Medicare). In 2017, we served more than 16,000 patients, a roughly 30% increase compared to the prior year. Our company employs 100+ people and is a certified National Health Service Corps (NHSC) site.
We offer competitives wages and benefits which include Paid Time Off, Continuing Medical Education (CME), Paid Holidays, a annual stipend towards license, DEA, CME expenses, periodicals, membership dues, etc.
Other benefits are Medical, Dental, Vision, Short/Long Term Disability, Life Insurance for employee, spouse, and dependents, Employee Assistance Plan for the employee and anyone living in the employee's household, as well as a Safe Harbor 401(k) Plan, which includes an employer match with no vesting schedule on the match.
PCHC is a Federally Qualified Health Center and is located in a Health Manpower Shortage Area. These designations qualify our providers to participate in the Federal student loan repayment through the National Health Service Corp.
