About the Organization
Salud Para La Gente (SALUD) provides high quality, comprehensive and cost-effective healthcare to underserved low-income communities in the Monterey Bay area, including Santa Cruz County and North Monterey County. We began in Watsonville 1978 as a storefront free clinic, and in 1992 became a federally qualified health center (FQHC). Today we are a primary health care network with 12 clinic sites, over 400 employees and continue to provide high quality services to patients of all ages.
SALUD is a Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) which includes the following services for our patients: Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Women's Health, OB/GYN (including hospitalist services), Optometry, Dental, Behavioral Health, and Chiropractic. We serve ~30,000 patients per year with 120,000 visits; the majority of whom are Spanish speaking.
Our dedicated staff is focused on our mission to provide services to our community that represents all of our demographics, including the homeless and immigrant workers. An environment of respect and dignity characterizes our interactions with both staff and patients.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, voluntary long term disability, a 401(k) with a 2% match, Holidays and PTO beginning at an accrual of 19 days per year.
