About the Organization
Roane County Family Health Care (RCFHC) has an opening for a board-certified or board-eligible Family Practice Physician licensed in the State of West Virginia. Malpractice Insurance is covered under the Federal Tort Claims Act. RCFHC is a Federally Qualified Health Center located in Spencer, West Virginia. It is approximately one hour north of Charleston and one hour south from Parkersburg. RCFHC is an eligible National Health Service Corps (NHSC) site. Eligible providers can apply for loan repayment from NHSC. We have a medical staff of three upper level and four mid level providers, a Women's Health and a Mental Health Department, total staff is fifty five employees. RCFHC recently achieved level 2 Primary Care Medical Home Accreditation and is currently working on Level 1 Meaningful Use Accreditation with its new EHR, which went live January 1. We were established in 1983 and are a member of the West Virginia Primary Care Association. RCHFC is funded by Federal and State Grants as well as patient revenue.
RCFHC is located in downtown Spencer. The City has business organizations as well as many churches and activity groups. Our collaborative partner, Roane General Hospital is within five minutes of the Center. Roane General is a Level Four Critical Access Hospital. Major employers are government, schools, healthcare, small business and retail. Spencer is the county seat of Roane County and has a population of 2,322. The county has a population of 14,926.
