About the Organization
Baptist Easley Hospital is a one of a kind joint venture with two of the State's largest healthcare systems, Palmetto Health and Greenville Health System. Because of our proximity to Greenville (15 miles) we align more clinically with GHS. We are a 109 bed acute care hospital. We employ 11 physician practices including primary care, general surgery, orthopaedics, OBGYN, and neurology. Baptist Easley will celebrate it's 60th birthday next year. We are a community hospital with a strong emphasis on community. In the early years many community textile workers gave a day's pay towards the building of the hospital and we take pride in their continue support through our Foundation and in giving back. Our healthcare team delivers quality healthcare while continuing to offer the "personal" touch you expect from a smaller facility. We currently use a Cerner system for our EMR but will be going to an EPIC system in the near future.
About the Community
Nestled at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the renowned lake region lies a little slice of heaven. The City of Easley is the quintessential southern city complete with a quaint Downtown, a historic railroad and striking vistas. Just 15 minutes from the bustling City of Greenville, the mountains and the lakes, the City of Easley is the Upstate's best kept secret as the epicenter for comfort and wellbeing. The area offers many outdoor activities including hiking, biking, fishing, hunting, and golf. From here you can travel to major cities and airports in Charlotte and Atlanta in less than 2 hours. Greenville offers many amenities including a minor league baseball team, concerts at Bon Secours Wellness Arena, Broadway shows at the Peace Center, picnicking at Falls Park or taking in a football game at Universities of Clemson or Furman. The historic city of Charleston and the beach are only a 3 hour drive. The school district serves 16 elementary schools, 5 middle schools, 4 high schools and a state of the art Career and Technology Center. The Pickens County School District is the 12th largest in the state and our students consistently rank near the top of the state in academic achievement.
