In 1911, Bozeman Deaconess Hospital was incorporated incidentally, Bozeman Deaconess will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2011.
Bozeman Deaconess Health Services-the not-for-profit umbrella organization that owns and operates Bozeman Deaconess Hospital, Bozeman Deaconess Health Group, Hillcrest Senior Living Neighborhood, Highland Health Park and satellite outpatient clinics Bozeman Deaconess Hospital has earned the reputation of providing high quality of services at very reasonable rates. The physicians who participate on the medical staff and who utilize the hospital for their patients represent numerous specialties along with the highest credentials, training, and expertise in their fields of practice.
Hospital facts: 86 bed facility 7 ORs, 8 ICU beds, 3 Pulmonary Care/Critical Care physicians 24-7 coverage, 24-7 hospitalist coverage, 10 ER beds, 3 ER Triage Beds, 4 overflow with a 40 million dollar expansion to add 20 new beds to ER. 4 bed progressive care unit. Approximately 23,000 admits per year.

Bozeman Deaconess Hospital provides both inpatient and outpatient services. In addition to providing quality inpatient nursing services through our obstetrics/nursery units, medical unit, surgical unit and intensive care unit, we have a 24-hour support staff who provide diagnostic and therapy services.

Bozeman is surrounded by four mountain ranges, thousands of acres of the Gallatin National Forest and hundreds of miles of blue ribbon trout streams, so the recreation opportunities are virtually endless. Hiking, biking, fly fishing, and rafting.
Downtown Bozeman has been an important and historic gateway to the West for more than 100 years. Downtown merchants outfitted explorers, miners, ranchers and the army with supplies to sustain them. Today, downtown features with rows of turn-of-the-century buildings. With more than 100 shops and restaurants lining this beautiful and historic retailing corridor, a stroll down Historic Main Street is a reminder of shopping in the grand old tradition.
Art and culture is alive and well in Bozeman. It is home to many museums, talented artists and excellent galleries. You can find opera, theatre, symphony and ballet, as well as rodeo, the Sweet Pea Festival, the Montana Winter Fair and the Gallatin County Fair. Those same features make Bozeman attractive to tourists, meeting planners, travel writers and tour operators. In addition to the numerous attractions in Bozeman, there are literally hundreds of sights within a short drive, including Yellowstone National Park, that lure visitors from around the world.
YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARKA region once rumored to be "the place where hell bubbles up." Geothermal wonders, such as Old Faithful, are evidence of one of the world's largest active volcanoes. These spectacular features bemused and befuddled the park's earliest visitors, and helped lead to the creation of the world's first national park.
MUSEUM OF THE ROCKIESHome to the largest collection of dinosaur fossils from the United States. The museum features a planetarium, paleontology, ethnology, and displays of dinosaurs and dinosaur eggs unearthed in Montana, Plains Indian artifacts, pioneer exhibits and Western art exhibits.
MONTANA STATE UNIVERSITYhome of the "Bobcats"has over 12,000 full and part-time students and is the largest employer in Gallatin County. It is routinely listed by U.S. News and World Report as one of America's "best buys" for undergraduate education and ranks among the leaders in the number of Goldwater scholarship recipients.
WORLD CLASS SKI RESORTSThe mountains in around Yellowstone National Park get plenty of snowmaking our region a spectacular skiing destination. Three world-class ski areas are located near Bozeman (within 45 miles): Big Sky, Moonlight Basin and Bridger Bowl. Each has its own appeal.
CROSS COUNTRY SKIINGOne of the most enjoyable ways to experience our winter paradise here in Southwestern Montana. Cross country skiers can enjoy groomed trails at local ski centers, easy-access trails right from town, and countless miles of solitude in the surrounding public landsincluding the wonders of Yellowstone National Park!
OUTDOOR RECREATIONThe potential for hiking, horseback riding, fishing, hunting, climbing, biking, skiing, or floating in Big Sky country is endless, and each adventure is an introduction to another exciting area to explore.
FISHER'S PARADISEThe Bozeman area is filled with cool, sparkling streams, rivers and lakes that come down from the mountains above. The waters are filled with rainbow trout, brown trout, brook trout and cutthroat trout. In fact, the Montana Rivers Information System has reported that some parts of the Gallatin River near Bozeman have over 400 rainbow trout per 1,000 feet of stream.
