Extended Care Physicians (ECP) has immediate openings for Physicians. ECP provides primary medical care to older adults in Long Term Care Facilities throughout North Carolina.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND RESPONSIBILITES:
ECP's services are delivered to older adults living in Nursing Facilities, Assisted Living Facilities or Retirement Centers in North Carolina. Scope of service is focused on primary care and care management of older adults in institutional settings.
Nearly all staff work from their own home. Each Staff member manages their own schedule, consistent with patient need and regulatory requirements. Positions are available both full and part time with a desired minimum of 30 hours per week. ECP provides opportunities for lifestyle employment with flexible work schedule. The physician must provide their own transportation. ECP maintains a main office for administrative services only.
JOB DESCRITPION:
Physician will be responsible for providing primary care to older adults residing in nursing homes, assisted living and retirement centers. Physician must be able to document all services consistent with current rules and regulations. Physician will lead team, share primary care duties for case load of patients while serving as liaison with facility staff, consultants and families regarding patients' care, participate in Collaborative Staff Meetings, Continuing Education, patient care conferences, etc.
REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate must have the following credentials & requirements:
- Current and unrestricted NC License as a Physician
- Malpractice Insurance Coverage (or eligible)
- DEA Certificate (or eligible)
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
- Previous clinical experience with older adults
