About the Organization
Good Shepherd Medical Center (GSMC) is one of two Hospitals in Longview, is JACHO Accredited with Commendation. We are a busy 425 bed, not-for-profit, Tertiary Care facility. Our Emergency Department saw over 85,000 patients last year. Enjoy no rush hour traffic, no HMO"s, tort reform and an excellent family community.
As a Level II Trauma Center, Good Shepherd provides the highest level of trauma care for Gregg County and the surrounding area. The Medical Center is also home to the region's first Neonatal Intensive Care Unit which is staffed by neonatologists, neonatal nurse practitioners and neonatal nurses.
Throughout its history, Good Shepherd Medical Center is honored to have served as the healthcare leader for the East Texas region upon receiving recognition for the quality outcomes from independent resources like Carechex.
