About the Organization
Saint Peters University Hospital is a non-profit, 478-bed acute care teaching hospital sponsored by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Metuchen. Saint Peters brings the latest medical practices and highly skilled professionals to the bedside. We employ more than 3,600 healthcare professionals and support personnel, and more than 1,000 doctors and dentists are on staff at our hospital. We treat more than 23,000 inpatients and more than 245,000 outpatients yearly.
As a state-designated childrens hospital, we offer many specialty services for children. We care for high-risk babies and seriously ill children in our Neonatal Intensive Care and Pediatric Intensive Care units. Our Child Life Program helps to educate and prepare children for their stay at Saint Peters, while our Pediatric Emergency Department can handle any injury or illness a child may have. At The Childrens Hospital at Saint Peters, we care for 9,000 inpatients and over 45,000 outpatients each year in our facilities and the Dorothy B. Hersh Pediatric Emergency Department.
