Ozark Center, the areas largest and most comprehensive behavioral healthcare provider, has been helping residents of Joplin and surrounding communities since 1965. A division of Freeman Health System, Ozark Center employees 500+ people and serves over 15,000 clients every year. Ozark Center is committed to continuous quality improvement and strives to accept all people as equal citizens in our community and treat all people with respect and dignity. Ozark Center offers quality, confidential behavioral healthcare to people of all ages experiencing a wide variety of challenges ranging from depression and anxiety to harmful and addictive behaviors. Confidential services for treatment of adults, families, and children include: Individual, group, family, and marriage counseling, Psychiatric services and medication management, Residential care for adults and adolescents, Acute inpatient care for adults and seniors, 24-hour crisis hotline, In-home support, Autism services, Child trauma treatment center, and Wide range of substance abuse services. Ozark Center is a teaching facility with a psychiatric residency program through the AOA. Our faculty consists of M.D./D.O. This is a four year program with multiple opportunities for Staff Psychiatrist to participate in the education and guidance of future psychiatrist.
