About the Organization
Since 1925, Family & Childrens Services has helped change the lives of the most vulnerable people in our community. Based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, F&CS is the largest community mental health center in the state and provides life-changing services to over 100,000 individuals each year.
F&CS offers a comprehensive array of services across 49 programs, employs more than 550 staff and operates a $50 million annual budget. Our dedicated staff heals traumatized and hurting children, strengthens individuals and families, and provides hope and recovery for those with mental illness and addictions.
We ensure accessibility to services through a network of nine convenient office locations in metro Tulsa and by co-locating services in schools and other community organizations. In addition to daytime hours, we offer evening appointments at many locations. Recognizing an acute need in the community, F&CS opened a 24/7 CrisisCare Center which provides critically-needed psychiatric beds and new, innovative crisis respite services 24 hours a day. F&CS credentials are noteworthy. We are certified with distinction as a Community Mental Health Center by the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. We are nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation with commendation to provide child, family, mental health and addiction services. The agency is a partner agency of the Tulsa Area United Way and a member of the National Child Traumatic Stress Network, the National Council on Behavioral Healthcare and the Mental Health Corporations of America. Key leadership staff has been recipients of numerous distinguished service awards.
