About the Organization
CenClear is in the unique position of working with people during all stages of their lives. CenClear began in 1980 offering Head Start (preschool) services to give children a strong start in their lives. Over the years CenClear, discovered mental health needs were not being met in young children and we began offering mental health services to all ages. When it became apparent there was also a need for drug and alcohol treatment services we began offering these services as well. Today, CenClear offers programs for pregnant moms, children, adolescents and adults.
CenClear believes in staying on the cutting edge of the mental health field so we can offer our clients the best possible care. We know that to make this happen its important to provide our employees with training opportunities to keep them at the forefront of their field. Because of CenClear's reputation for meeting the needs of clients, it has grown from offering early childhood, mental health and drug and alcohol services in two counties to offering services in 15 counties. CenClear offers mental health services in 12 counties and drug and alcohol services in four counties.
The ability to provide clients with both mental health and drug and alcohol services has led to two of CenClear's offices being chosen to become Certified Community Behavioral Clinics as part of a pilot program. The result is clients benefit from being treated by an organization that can provide them with both mental health and drug and alcohol services. CenClear also works closely with physicians and other area organizations to ensure these individuals receive all the help they need.
Our focus is to provide people with hope. When barriers or obstacles try to stand in the way of our clients achieving their goals, we work to find or develop the programs needed to erase those obstacles.
Prior to expanding our programs and services though, CenClear relies on employees to share their thoughts about the needs clients have because we value their input.

About the Community
CenClear's Administrative Office is nestled in the heart of the Pennsylvania Wilds in Bigler, PA. But CenClear's reach extends to State College, the home of Penn State University's main campus and Altoona home of the Altoona Curve. CenClear has mental health offices in Clearfield, DuBois, Coalport and Philipsburg in Clearfield County, Punxsutawney in Jefferson County, St. Marys in Elk County, Roaring Spring in Blair County, and State College in Centre County.
CenClear offers drug and alcohol services through our offices in Clarion, in Clarion County, Clearfield, Punxsutawney and Brookville in Jefferson County.
The rural location CenClear serves means beautiful scenery and outdoor adventures abound! Yet, urban adventures are just a short drive away in Pittsbu
