NRHC employs Family Practice Physicians, an OB/GYN Physician, Certified Physician Assistants, Family Nurse Practitioners, and Dentists. Ancillary providers include a Registered Dental Hygienist, Health Educator, Childbirth Educator and Case Manager. Our services include primary care, obstetrics, urgent care, occupational medicine, dental services, health/nutrition/childbirth education, and Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program services.
Northeastern Health Center is located next door to Banner Lassen Medical Center. We currently provide over 50,000 patient visits per year with an annual budget of $9 million. We are assisted by grant funding through the US Public Health Service.
We accept Medicare, Medi-Cal, most private insurances, and offer a sliding (discount) fee program for the uninsured. We participate in a variety of public programs to improve health care access for all.
Beautiful Lassen County is located on the eastern side of the Sierra Nevada range at 4,200 feet, with a four-season climate. Outdoor activities abound, including fishing, hiking, bicycling, golfing, hunting, water sports, and snow sports. With a population of 10,000, the Susanville area offers a rural, small-town environment with great schools and a community college.
