About the Organization
Peterson Regional Medical Center is a private, not-for-profit community-based healthcare facility located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country in Kerrville. We are located approximately 60 miles north of San Antonio and 100 miles west of Austin.
For over six decades, the Peterson name has been synonymous with helping and healing in the Hill Country. From the time Sid Peterson Memorial Hospital opened in July 1949 until the new facility, Peterson Regional Medical Center, opened their doors in the new location in April 2008, the healthcare and community needs for people in Kerrville and parts of Kerr, Bandera, Medina, Edwards, Real, Kimble, Kendall, and Gillespie counties have been realized.
The Peterson name has changed but what remains the same since inception is our deep level of caring for patients, families, and the community. The campus constructed in 2008 sits on 35 - acres of lush greenery and wraps patients into a quiet and healing environment. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and feature public dining spaces that feel peaceful and relaxing. Once inside, you'll marvel at the modern and spacious interior favoring bountiful natural light, deep wood accents, and a warm, comfortable environment. Catering to the needs of our patients, all 124 rooms are private and each offer a view of the scenic Hill Country and offer plenty of room for family members staying with a patient overnight.
Our Mission
Peterson Regional Medical Center will lead the Hill Country medical community in delivering exceptional, compassionate, patient-centered healthcare.
