About the Organization
BlueWater Emergency Partners is a physician owned private group of emergency medicine providers. Formed for the purpose of supplying high quality Emergency Medicine services to hospitals in Maine. We currently staff and manage emergency departments in Brunswick, Calais and Machias.
It is the mission of BWEP to provide outstanding emergency care with thoughtfulness, respect, and compassion; to provide leadership and innovation to create hospital-based healthcare solutions; and to support individual autonomy, professional growth and satisfaction. We place premium value on providing high quality, cost effective and progressive care focused on the patient and community. We are growing and are continuously looking for high quality physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners. We have also developed a training program for advanced practice clinicians.

Brunswick Maine: The Town of Brunswick is located in southern Maine and is the gateway to Maines magnificent mid coast. The emergency department sees 32,000 patients per year and is part of a 100 bed community hospital.
Calais Maine: The City of Calais, Maine, is located in eastern Washington County situated on the Canadian border and the beautiful St. Croix River. The hospital is a rural critical access hospital. The emergency department sees 11,000 patients per year with the nearest referral hospital 95 miles away.
Machias Maine: The Town of Machias is located in southern Washington County on the coast. The hospital is a rural critical access hospital. The emergency department sees 10,000 patients per year with the nearest referral hospital 85 miles away.
