About the Organization

The MetroHealth System, Cuyahoga Countys public health system, and its staff of nearly 8,000 provides care at MetroHealths four hospitals, four emergency departments and more than 20 health centers and 40 additional sites throughout Cuyahoga County. The health system is home to Cuyahoga Countys most experienced Level I Adult Trauma Center, verified since 1992, and Ohios only adult and pediatric trauma and burn center. About the Community

MetroHealth Behavioral Health Hospital - Opening October 2022!

MetroHealth is making a $42 million investment to combat our regions behavioral health crisis with the construction of a new three-story, 112 bed Behavioral Health hospital in Cleveland Heights with beds specializing in care of adolescents, adults and geriatrics. The Cleveland Heights campus includes a busy Emergency Department, an inpatient medical unit as well as a full spectrum of outpatient and ancillary services. This Behavioral Health Hospital has been designed with patient and staff safety in mind, and features an interdisciplinary staffing model, where a team approach to care is essential.

The new hospital is scheduled to open October 8, 2022 and will offer a therapeutic environment focused on providing individualized, planned therapy programs, including recreation, art and music therapy in group and individual settings. Private and semiprivate rooms are available as well as an indoor recreation area and outside courtyard.
