About the Organization
The Charles B. Wang Community Health Center is a nonprofit and federally qualified health center offering comprehensive primary care services to all in six convenient locations in Flushing, Queens and Lower Manhattan, serving over 54,000 patients with more than 275,000 service visits in 2022. For more information, please visit www.cbwchc.org.
Our providers are board-certified or board-eligible and licensed to practice in the State of New York. Many of our providers are multilingual, to ensure that our incredibly diverse community has access to high-quality, culturally responsive, and affordable medical, dental, and mental health care, as well as health education, social work, and many support services. Our providers take a patient-centered approach by putting their needs first, providing them the highest level of care.
About the Community
Growing from a street fair providing free health education and screenings over 50 years ago, the Charles B. Wang Community Health Center is still here to serve the most diverse populations. With six locations in Flushing, Queens and Lower Manhattan, the Health Center continues our tradition of bringing health information and services to all through our newly established Community Health Resource Center (CHRC). We provide culturally and linguistically appropriate health education information and activities, free health screenings, vaccinations, and other resources to empower community residents to lead healthier lifestyles.
To enhance access to health care services for underserved community members, the Health Center collaborates with health care providers, community-based organizations, schools, faith-based institutions, government agencies, and others through outreach, advocacy, and partnership.
