New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision is the state agency responsible for 50+ facilities throughout New York State. Each operates as a small city of sorts, which requires staff of all disciplines; Physicians, Nurses, Physician Assistants, Dentists, Pharmacists, Nurse Practitioners, Counselors, Teachers, Administrative Staff, and of course a large amount of Security Staff.
