About the Organization
At Pipestone County Medical Center, we have a long history of caring for the people of our region. Our commitment to the health of families in our community dates back to 1924 when the Ashton Memorial Hospital first opened.
In 1964 we became the Pipestone County Medical Center, and we continued to work hard to meet the needs of a growing, changing population. Our goal then, as always, was to bring high-quality health care to the people we serve, providing the most advanced and sophisticated medical technologies - and the most personalized and compassionate care.
Today, Pipestone County Medical Center is a Critical Access Hospital offering a complete range of inpatient and outpatient services. Pipestone County Medical Center is affiliated with Avera Health and Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
