Founded in 1911, UW Health SwedishAmerican Hospital has earned a reputation for its commitment to quality healthcare, including clinical excellence, outcome measurements and placing the needs and concerns of our patients first. We are a 354-bed, full-service, non-profit serving northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin with a recognized Level 2 Trauma Center and Level 3 NICU. Annually, we have over 17,000 hospital admissions and 70,000 ED visits.
Our unique physician-driven health system sets us apart from other integrated delivery systems. Our providers are involved in decision-making at all levels, from strategic planning to daily operations. We also recognize the importance of balance between life and career.
