About the Organization
Escambia Community Clinics, Inc.(ECC) is a not for profit 501(c)(3) community health center established in January 1991 and opened for service in November 1992. In 2007, Escambia Community Clinics, Inc. was designated as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and meets qualifications as a National Health Service Corps (NHSC) loan repayment program.
With over a twenty year history of providing outpatient primary care services to the medically needy, uninsured, underinsured, and working poor citizens of our community, ECC has grown to be the primary medical home for thousands of area residents.
ECC is recognized as a patient centered medical home by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). As a Federally Qualified Health Center, the health centers offer a sliding fee scale to those that are uninsured. We accept Medicaid and Medicare, as well as major health and HMO insurance plans.
Annually, ECC proudly serves over 30,000 unduplicated patients with over 90,000 patient encounters. Services include adult and pediatric family practice, women's health services, behavioral health, dentistry, laboratory, x-ray, pharmacy assistance, case management, and other supportive services.
Our Executive Director and Leadership team work with a board of directors, consisting of a majority of current Escambia Community Clinic patients, as well as active community members.
